Day Thirteen: 18 March 2010

Okay, so I have been slacking on the blog as I have been playing/figuring out my new camera. I've been busy with work, busy figuring this new camera out and just busy making excuses. Today was a beautiful day here in Germany, so I had to get some pictures of the kitties out on the patio. Unfortunately, I had some issues getting good poses and positioning...they were plotting their escape to freedom so it was difficult to get them to look at me.

Day Twelve: 15 March 2010

Yes, I realize this is a horrible photo, but I was so excited to get my new camera that I just took a quick shot. I am still charging the battery and figuring out the controls, so no photo today with the new camera, just one of the new camera...or at least the box.

Epiphanie Bags: Cute bag and a give-away!

I finally broke down and bought the Ginger Epiphanie bag! I am so excited, I cannot wait to get my hands on it. I have been stalking the website for months and rationalizing why I needed another bag, when I finally succumbed to the temptation. I cannot wait to receive my bag and will definitely post a review and pictures once I get my hands on this little baby!

Not only does Epiphanie make an incredible product that caters to female photogs, but they are having an incredible give away right now on their blog! You have until March 31st to enter to win a Canon 5D Mark II or a $2500 gift certificate for Southwest Airlines. Click here to get to their website to enter!

Day Eight, Nine and Ten: 8, 10, 11 March 2010

Day Eight: The Gastehaus that I was staying at had a cute little rubber ducky in the bathroom.

Day Ten: After being gone for 4 days, I had a little photo session with the kitties. They missed me while I was gone, but by the time I was done chasing them around with the camera, they were probably ready for me to leave again.

Out of Commission

I have been out of town for about 4 days and my computer went kaput. So I was unable to access and update my blog with photos. I am just getting up and running now and will update my blog in the next day or so!

Day Six: 6 March 2010

I've come to realize that one photo a day is more difficult than it sounds. After getting off of work, it is difficult to find the time, and good lighting, to take photos and then upload to the blog. I don't want to be forced to take a quick photo for the sake of the blog, so some days I just won't have the time. I'll simply pick up where I left off and continue to learn and enjoy doing this blog. It'll still be 365, just maybe a little extended.

Now for today's photo.

After a week or so of fabulous spring weather, we woke up to about 4 inches of snow. Mia had some fun playing with the snow once she got over the fact that her paws were all wet.

Day Five: 3 March 2010

A miniature teapot...

Day Four: 2 March 2010

I was trying to practice my focusing skills with a basket of eggs. Of course the kitties could not resist the "new toys".

I am still having several issues with focal points and low light photos. I have been trying to shoot in Manual or Aperture Priority but obviously I have a long way to go.

Taking a bath after playing in the toilet water.
